► Sheikh Muhammad bin Ibraheem bin Jafar al-Numani authored this important work entitled Kitab al-Ghayba following the Major Occultation of the Twelfth Imam. The work tried to prove the necessity of the Twelfth Imam’s occultation by relating traditions on the authority of the Prophet and the Imams predicting its occurrence The author begins the book with some prophetic traditions confirming the imamate of al-Mahdi (aj), and also mentions the traditions showing that Allah doesn’t leave the world without a “Hujjah”. The book is comprised of the Hadith relating to the occultation of the 12th Imam Al-Mahdi ATFS inclusive of Hadith from the Sunni sources, and is divided into different chapters. Hadith narrated therein cover the subjects including His Imamate, His occultation, Signs preceding His reappearance, and the events after His blessed reappearance.
